Today I decided to work on my plan and risk assessment for the first part of my SRP. In our plan we had to talk about our problem, hypothesis, aim, material, risk assessment, method, and provide the online risk assessment in which was signed and included all our equipment. Today I decided to only work on the first four things in my plan in which was my problem, hypothesis, aim and all my materials. In my problem we were to mention the main reasoning why we would be performing our experiment (mine being the dissolving of tablets in hydrochloric acid) in which would give us results. My problem is "Which tablet will dissolve the fastest in hydrochloric acid?." In my hypothesis, based on an educated guess I chose that Advil would dissolve the fastest in hydrochloric acid giving the fastest pain relief. I also said that the aim of my experiment would be "to investigate which pain medications will dissolve the fastest in hydrochloric acid." being my main focus for this experiment. Once I had organised may problem, hypothesis, and aim I was able to get the part in which my materials were listed which included:
- Advil
- Panamax
- Panafen Plus
- Panadol
- 120mL Hydrochloric Acid with a 0.1 M concentration
- 4 Beakers
- 4 Stopwatches
- Camera
- 4 Stirring Rods
- Measuring Cylinder
I hope you get good results. Can't wait to see the them.
